R.Désilets rods are unique in that they are very resistant to tension while snapping off with a simple quarter turn, box after box, when the time comes to strip the forms.

We take several steps to ensure quality: we have some of the strictest purchasing specifications, constantly monitor the steel composition (especially manganese/carbon content) and check tension and torsion strength.

1034MD type steel rods, 7 mm in diameter.

Over 5 680 pounds of resistance under tension.

Shaped to prevent turning in the concrete, remain in position and ensure a clean, precise break.

Metal Rod with Cones

Produces a nice finish and is used specifically to prevent water infiltration. The cone is removed with the rod, leaving a conical hole that facilitates plastering when the rod is broken off. Patent no. 2034584

Hooked Rod

Special rod used to solidify the corner of a wall. Made specifically for 8”, 10” and 12” walls.

Rod with Watertight Disc

Special steel rod specialy used to consolide a 8'', 10'' or 12'' corner wall.

Special Styrofoam Rod

Special rod with welded metal plates to hold insulation firmly in place at the desired area in the concrete wall. Offered in all lengths, with or without cones.
